Tämä sopii opeteltavaksi miehillekin.
Also useful knowledge for a man - if you want to impress her! |
Homemade manual wood splitter from Ukraine
Just for fun and some food for thought
If someone thinks that we can not learn attitude from this gifted boy - I do not what to say... It is clearly seen in the end of this video. |
He can do it - and you can't?
You think there is something wrong with him? Or is it just You? Your brains disabled? For good or is there still some hope? |
The Making of Windowfarms Finland
(english subtitles)
‘Window Farms’ are vertical, hydroponic, modular, “low-energy high-yield” window gardens built using low-impact or recycled local materials. The Windowfarms Project and research was initiated by New York-based Britta Riley and Rebecca Bray in 2009, as part of their shared collaborative work exploring collaborative distributed ‘R&D-I-Y’ (Research & Development -It-Yourself) solutions for environmental issues. Since then it has developed into a non-profit organisation that has encouraged an open design community with hundreds of members around the world, and attracted US-based Entrepreneur Magazine to state they are one of the top ventures to watch in 2010.

Aquaponics = aquaculture (the raising of edible fish) + hydroponics (growing vegetables and herbs without soil). You may have seen examples of this revolutionary way of growing food in some of the projects featured on Inhabitat. Per square foot, it’s the most productive form of agriculture on the planet, and is a perfect example of a living machine: a self-sufficient assembly of plants and animals that functions like an ecosystem, producing food for people without creating waste products or pollution.
Just some examples.

Summary:
Cock-a-doodle-do!! The time has come to wake up and see things differently. To see that the "crisis" is a an amazing opportunity to connect with the real meaning of wealth (eg. clean air, organic food, pure water, health homes, warmth, comfort, friendship, love, community) and to create this NOW! The time has come to free ourselves from our endless obsession with more material goods so that we have more energy and time to deal with the substance of things. Help us spread permaculture via the internet, educational videos and whatever else comes up in Greece, from Greeks, for Greeks in Greek. The time has come to find the solutions for everything we want from within our own "problems". |
